Also - for some reason, my Windows firewall dealie, Windows Defender, just can't update. I keep trying to make it do so and it won't. Also, I have AVG Free Virus software downloaded, and that can't connect to the internet for some reason to update, no matter what I do.
I tried connecting via ethernet as opposed to wireless. No luck.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling AVG - no luck.
I'm at a loss. =/ Any more tech savvy people know what to do??

Amanda Palmer
... was amazing. I'm so glad I got to see her solo show.
Also, Neil Gaiman was a surprise guest and introduced Amanda Palmer on stage. Apparantly they're good buds or something.
Also, I got to be up in the VIP section because Julz has connections. And I got to rock out to Amanda up on the balcony with Neil.
So I bought two of his books today. Gotta love discounts because of GameStop + Employee Appreciation week.
I'm home this weekend to work on a ten page research paper due Monday by 5 and to study for an English paper that's Monday at 7pm.
All I really want to do is go back to Evanston and play Left4Dead or WoW...
So close to having this quarter be done....

Reading Weeeek
I love being home. My mommy is just about the best person in the whole world.
And she makes everything a million times better.
I was up until 7:47am this (monday) morning working on my minimum of 2500 word Spanish essay, though it could be written in English, which was a research paper on the Mozarabic Rites and their connection to Catholicism.
Awesome. But it got done, and I turned it in and took an awesome nap at home and feel loads better.
Being home feels nice. =]
My little apartment feels extra-holiday-y because Sam's awesome. She texted me and Ang about there being a surprise waiting at home, and there was a little table-top Christmas tree all lit up. =] I love it.
I should be starting my other 10 page research paper which is due Monday by 5pm, but of course I'm online. At least I don't have WoW on this computer or any productivity I would have planned on would just not exist.
I really wanna have a little holiday party, complete with sitting around drinking hot cocoa and maybe going sledding and being all festive and stuff. Hmm....

I hate how Nortwestern doesn't give us an entire week of for Thanksgiving, but only really Thursday and Friday. And that time is mostly family time.
Oh well. Dinner last night was awesome: just me, mom, dad, babcia, my uncle and aunt, and my aunt's mom.
And Dylan and Lala, the animals. I like intimate little things like that. =]
My cousin Luke stopped by for a bit to see us, which made my day, and then my uncle confirmed my rising desire to take the LSAT and go to law school.
Guys, I'm going to Law School. Bring it on.
After a slightly awkward Julia-centered discussion on what I was going to do after college (with my eloquent answer being: I have no clue!!), my uncle started going on about how it's best to just work for yourself and a lawyer is one of the only professions to do so. I'd thought about doing it myself for the past few weeks, but his support just kinda really pushed me to do it.
Besides, if both my big cousins could pull off law school after Northwestern, why can't I?
Time to go buy LSAT prep books...

Back to School!
I have my first class as a senior in 40 minutes!
Summer's officially over. =[
At least I know I spent it with the best friends around, whether it was across the courtyard [before they moved out...], or down in the South Loop, or random Rock Band parties at Justin's, things have been great.
This is my last week at Norris, and I'll have to admit I'm relieved to be quitting one job and keeping the other. I don't want to work myself silly my last year.
I want sleep SO BADLY. My bed is right behind me and I just can't lay down or I'll never get up again - sigh.
I hope this school year turns out at least half as great as the summer preceding it was...

So...
Let's see. It's summer, and that's awesome. Actually, it's been summer for a few weeks now, but I've been soaking it all up.
This whole past week I haven't had work. How I managed that, I don't know, but seeing as the week before it I worked every single day, I really wasn't complaining. I slept alot.
This summer is going to be spent playing video games. It's great.
If any of you guys have either a 360 or a PS3, my gamertag things are:

Yeah, I'm sorta obsessed. Deal.
My best friend graduated yesterday, and we went out to dinner to Benihana's for it with her folks and some other friends, and then afterwards went to a good friend's house-warming party in the South Loop. Basically, his view is amazing, you can see Navy Pier and the concert pavillion in Millenium Park, and uhm, you can totally see the Happy Whale! I love being ridiculous and constantly pointing it out.
This blog isn't going to be for anything, but when I posted in my old LiveJournal so often years back, I was so much more creative and such, and nowadays I feel like I'm lacking in my creativity in all aspects, especially in writing, and being an English major, I need to keep that creativity.
Oh well.
Also, Meghan got Johnny Depp's autograph because of a good friend of hers. If she wasn't my bes friend I'd be so jealous. Instead, I think that's damn cool and awesome that he wished her all the best because of her graduation.
I still need to go find the set of Public Enemies in Chicago. Maybe if I can wake up before noon I can try sometimes.

Last Night....
of being a Junior.
Yet, still I manage to put all the work to the last night, causing me to stay up ridiculously late and finish it all.
At least I've pretty much napped for the past 4 hours as opposed to what I usually do and try and slowly write for so long. Now it's 4am, but I'm slightly rested and more focused due to the increased amount of pressure I'm feeling.
On the plus side, I turn this all in by 4pm tomorrow - 12 more hours. Once that happens, I'll officially be a senior in college. Damn.
Once that happens, it'll be summer and I'll be able to sleep. That's the part I'm most concerned with.
